MORE ABOUT IT
Striving to continually be on the forefront of innovative technology, Optiphi has partnered with DNALYSIS Biotechnology to offer our clients a comprehensive skincare treatment plan unique to your skin’s DNA. Your DNA is what makes you unique and what would be better than to base your skincare regime on your individual skin needs? Depending on the test selected, the results of this non-invasive Skin DNA test will deliver personal lifestyle, nutrition and product recommendations for improved skincare
ABOUT THE TEST PANEL
We all know that you can’t change your genetic make-up or the start of your skin-story, but the knowledge obtained from the optiphi Skin DNA test can give you the power to change the outcome of your skin-story. You have a choice of two options being;
- DNA Skin: Delivers results focusing on your genetic risk factors specific to skin, and include personalised recommendations of optiphi skin products and treatment plans
- DNA Skin Plus: Delivers results focusing on your genetic risk factors specific to skin, nutrition and lifestyle to ultimately improve your skin holistically.
Dna skin analyses variations on 18 genes that link to key areas involved in skin health and ageing. Based on the results from the DNA Skin test personalized lifestyle, nutrition, nutraceutical and cosmeceutical recommendations are given to improve skincare and decrease the visible signs of ageing.
Research suggests that individuals do respond differently to different diets and no ONE diet plan is right for everyone.
DNA Diet, one of the first products of its kind in the world, is designed to assist you in the management of weight and obesity.
DNA Diet provides insight into the role of carbohydrate, saturated fat and exercise on the ability of an individual to lose weight, allowing you to personalise your diet plan.
The DNA Diet genetic test analyses genes associated with the following areas:
- Variations linked to obesity and being overweight
- Ability to lose or gain weight easily
- Responsiveness to exercise
- Mobilization of fat from fat cells
- Ability to metabolize fats for energy
- Absorption rate of dietary fat
DNA HEALTH DNA
Health is concerned with optimising wellbeing and health by making better lifestyle and diet choices, and where necessary using supplements tailored to offset any particular nutritional deficit or genetic shortcoming.
The DNA Health Test assists you in establishing the optimal nutrition necessary for good health, energy, longevity and disease risk mitigation. DNA Health tests for 35 genes involved in the following biological processes:
- vitamin B metabolism/methylation
- antioxidant status
- food responsiveness, such as sensitivities to lactose, caffeine and salt intake
- insulin sensitivity
Oestrogen hormones affect the growth, differentiation and function of a number of target tissues. Improving oestrogen metabolism is of benefit to women who suffer from oestrogen-dominant conditions such as endometriosis, premenstrual syndrome and uterine fibroid tumours, or where there is a family history of breast, uterine or ovarian cancer, or prostate cancer in men. Variations in genes involved in these biological processes help identify a subpopulation of women and men with higher lifetime exposure to oestrogens, oestrogen metabolites and other carcinogens. Understanding an individual’s genetic variability will allow for targeted diet, lifestyle and hormone intervention
DNA SPORT DNA
Sport examines various different biological areas that impact training responsiveness and sporting performance. These include soft tissue and bone formation and remodeling, inflammation, oxidative stress, oxygenation influenced by blood flow and respiration, and energy and fuel production and metabolism during exercise. knowledge of variations in genes involved in these biological areas can be used to personalise a training programme in order to gain as much as possible from sessions by exploiting potential advantages, as well as to identify weaknesses that need to be worked on. This insight can also be used to make appropriate training and nutrition choices in an attempt to prevent injury as well as optimise recovery in order to perform at one’s best. The test is suitable for a range of individuals, from the elite performance athlete to the recreational athlete looking to maximize their fitness potential and reach peak levels of conditioning, as well as the athlete starting out.
